Flowers and Portrait/Figures in Watercolor"

"I love the qualities of watercolor- it's
fluid nature. To me, the interaction of artist with the medium is like
a dance-full of motion, feeling and expression. I love to watch the
painting develop and to discover new color and composition.
As a teacher, I would like to enable
students to find their connections with watercolor in a new and
expressive way."

Artists Way”. This course is credited with having helped millions find
and express their authentic creativity in their lives and in their work
in the world.

Art in the Loft is located
on the third floor of the Center Building in Downtown Alpena. The Loft
originated as a temporary experiment to see how well a fine arts gallery
would be received. Over 1,000 people visited the gallery during its
initial five-week operation.
This year promises to be filled with great opportunities and excitement
for both artists and visitors of the Loft. Thanks to the generous
donations of many area businesses and residents, our new stairway is
complete. This allows us to increase our occupancy and accommodate
large events and receptions.
We have an exciting year of exhibits and events planned at Art in the
Loft.
